Mary Scotti

Mary Scotti has completed a Masters Degree in Sustainable Development in Sri Lanka from the School for International Training (to be awarded May 2008). In this post-tsunami, war torn country her focus of study embraced naratology and peace and conflict studies at a grass roots level. Prior to Sri Lanka Mary served in the Peace Corps as a community development officer working with the indigenous Carib population on the island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Her work in the villages led to the founding and incorporation of a community-based development organization – The Fancy Unity Farmers Cooperative. She is currently an active member of their board, serving as coordinator, fundraiser and development consultant.
